Winter's Interlude - 16"x12" - Sold -

Looking at this birch tree and the snow covered spruce tree branches in the background I thought this might be a beautiful backdrop for perhaps one of my favourite birds of prey, the Barred Owl. Painting the abstract patterns of the birch tree and then working on the detailed formation of the owl's feathers made for an interesting and challenging project.
