The Gray Jay, Canada Jay, aka Whiskey Jack (Wìsakedjàk in Algonquin), is an incredibly friendly bird. Walk the trails of Algonquin Provincial Park with some seeds or nuts in your hand and you are sure to be visited by one if not many on your hike. Doing a painting of a Whiskey Jack always puts a smile on my face, remembering their antics as they fly through the pine trees, swooping in for a landing to grab some food out of my hand.
