Vigilant - Horned Owl - 18" x 14" Original Framed

This Great Horned Owl painting was inspired from my previous visits to the Canadian Raptor Conservancy where we had the opportunity to study these beautiful birds up close. What struck me about this pose was how attentative this bird was to it's surroundings. With about 7 or 8 of us there taking pictures and admiring this magnificent creature, she was ignoring us completely and focusing more on what was flying in the sky or scurrying around in the bush.
