Certainly one of the most impressive birds of prey, the Peregrine Falcon is the fastest animal in the world reaching speeds of up to 325kph in a steep dive. The other thing that impresses me is their clean, sharp, aerodynamic features and distinct feathering. It's great to see that these birds are making a strong comeback after many years being threatened by pesticides such as DDT. Now with restrictions on it's use and legislation to protect them, their numbers have begun to recover.
