Red-bellied Woodpecker - 12"x9" -Sold-

The Red-bellied Woodpecker is often confused with the Red-headed Woodpecker especially when your consider that the belly on this bird is not all that red. Never the less, it is certainly a beautiful bird to observe with  the stricking contrasts of black and white bars on their backs to their bright red/orange caps on their heads.  Normally you see this bird climbing up the trunk of a tree but I liked how this one posed for a while on this branch.
